About Us
Schoolhouse 30A is a small, faith-based homeschool co-op to enrich your child’s education through hands-on learning, character-building, and a love for learning. Meeting one day a week, students, ages 9-12, explore social studies, science, PE, and art- all taught with a focus on growth, community and Christ-centered values.
Curriculum
We will use Layers of Learning curriculum-a rich flexible, and hands-on program designed to make education engaging and accessible for every child. Layers of Learning encourages exploration, creativity, and connection between subjects, allowing students to learn deeply while having fun.
Schedule & Tuition
- When: Mondays or Tuesdays (Starting Aug. 10, 2026)9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Where: The Community Church- 3524 US-98, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
- Who: Children ages 9-12 (must be 9 by Sept. 1st)
- What: History, social studies, science, PE, and art
- Registration Fee Per Semester: $200 (non-refundable)
- Includes curriculum, binder, pack of pencils, markers, colored pencils and supplies for projects throughout the semester. Most of the lessons are hands-on.
- Tuition: $442/month.
- Payment Schedule- Tuition will be divided into five payments due on the 20th of prior month.
Schoolhouse 30a tuition is eligible for reimbursement through the Step Up For Students (PEP & UA Scholarship)
Get To Know US
Meet the Owners & Teachers:
We’re Russell and Jessica, the husband and wife team behind Schoolhouse30A. We both graduated with teaching degrees in 2012, got married, and spent our first year in Haiti homeschooling five children and teaching English at a family-run orphanage.
Russell has taught middle and high school for the last 10 years in private, Christian, and public schools and has coached basketball. He loves history and science. Jessica went on to become a pediatric nurse, and we now homeschool our daughters—Stella (9) and Penelope (3)—here in Santa Rosa Beach after moving from Nashville.
We started Schoolhouse30A after seeing a real need for electives in our community. Together, we’ll be teaching history, science, social studies, art, and PE with a heart for learning and a love for kids.
Our Mission
At Schoolhouse 30a, we exist to cultivate strong character, a love for learning, and a faith that lasts. Our mission is to help students see the world through the lens of God’s truth- growing in wisdom, creativity, and confidence in who He made them to be.
